    Trying to Update Ubuntu but Getting Repo Error

    I am trying to do the upgrade of Ubuntu through but am getting the following two lines:

    Failed to fetch real player realplayer media thunderbird at youmortals.com Sub-process bzip2 returned an error code (2)
    Failed to fetch real player realplayer media thunderbird at youmortals.com Sub-process bzip2 returned an error code (2)


    Any ideas on what this is?

    apt-get update shows similar error

    virus...

    I think it was a virus. I had run avg a few times and it kept telling me that was a virus but I didn't believe in it...finally I went into the repos and deleted the one that was under "gnomefreak" or something similar. Now everything works fine. Gutsy is pretty amazing

    I have never installed any AntiVirus package in any Linux Distro. I dont think its necessary. If you are concerned about security, I would suggest you to check this link.

    i would do what casper says and comment out the repository with real player, i had this same problem only with the wine repository listing i have added in once i commented it out i got past the error. virus isn't likely so i wouldn't go off on that direction might just be a waste of time.
