    Gutsy compiz issue

I have one of those annoying problems that doesn't really harm anything but just bugs me so hopefully someone can help:

I'm using Compiz and when I open a new window (any window, firefox for example), it loads with the top taskbar underneath my upper menu taskbar and I have to right click on the bottom icon and click "move" in order to have the minimize, maximize and X button visible....really a pain in the a.. when I have to do it 500 times a day....

I've been trying to get Compiz-fusion working in Crux and have been reading a lot of threads on forums everywhere where there are now several issues with Compiz running correctly with Gusty. After upgrading to Gusty last night, Compiz won't work for me at all.

Hopefully there will be bug fixes coming down the line soon.

I noticed they blacklisted some cards and chips, presumably during testing so Compiz would only be enabled where it would work great. But the funny thing is on my work PC using an intel 945GMA it is blacklisted but my 945GMA on my laptop has it running at full speed. Odd...

Try looking in this thread: Just upgraded to 7.10, need compiz settings manager... - Ubuntu Forums

Also, here is another trick run this in terminal:
    Code:
    gfconftool -2 --type int --set /apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/hsize 4
    hope this helps.
