    Question installing vector linux

    hi!
i installed vector linux soho on my system.
    i used 4 partitions.
    root, swap,usr,home .
now i have some files and folders on each of my sdas unlike windows xp.
is it wrong way that i executed or its just a trend in linux.
    Sorry, it was unintentional.
You should have told me at least once and i could have fix it.
    thanks for reminding me.

Linux is not like Windows OSes. It stores different type of files in pre-defined partitions/locations. This link has full explanation.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
