Problems installing broadlogic drivers: uudecode missing

    Hi all,
    i have a problem & i'd appreciate your help.

Am trying to install broadlogic drivers on my linux machine.
Am running REDHAT 8, kernel version 2.4

When i try installing it, this is the error i get:

ERROR: Cannot find the uudecode utility under /usr/bin/ directory
./ line 8023: ecyo: command not found

Please could you tell me how to get around this problem.
And if anyone has installed broadlogic drivers on linux and used them for dial up internet access, a couple of guidelines will be welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Inya,

I ran into the same problem while trying to install the madwifi driver.
Anyway uudecode is a member of the package sharutils, so I executed
    apt-get install sharutils
on my debian machine, I hope it works on RH8.0 too.
If not you will need to download this package and install it.

the apt-get wont, but find a share utils rpm, and you should be in good shape, or you can dl a port of apt-get for redhat (it works nicely, i used it for a while )
