Hi and Welcome !
We need a bit more info. How did you install FireFox? Which distro are you using? Execute 'firefox' in Terminal/Konsole. Does it throw any error message? It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Firefox
Yes I also installed FF 2.0.0.6 on MDK 10.2 and apparently FF does not come with menu installations. Assuming it installed correctly, you will have to create a link to the mozilla-firefox executable and place it on your desktop. Depending on the distro you're using you may be able to create a menu entry.

Note that on some distros, I've had to logout/reboot then Firefox showed up in the menu.

Hi.
Don't forget to get the right Firefox, the Firefox for Linux. This is the basic, that has to be correct. Then go from there.
If you already have it installed, that is fine. Good.
