    Which Distro?

What Distro would be best for me, ill only use linux to browse the internet and watch movies and listen to music ect. So ill need a distro with a browser and media player pre loaded or links to good ones.

I have windows for games but i wanna try linux to see what all the fuss is about. I've used Suse before and didn't like it.

Can anyone recommend one to me?

    Welcome to the forums!

Unfortunately, nobody here can tell you which one you'll like the best, or which one will work best on your hardware. Take a look at the link in my signature for lots of good information on getting started with Linux.

Here's a poll that was taken regarding favorite distro for new linux users. It should give you some good recommendations:

After you pick and try one or more distros, post a new thread should you have any questions about them.

    Have fun with Linux!

Download a bunch of live CDs and see what you like best.
