Red face File systems compatibility for Linux, OS X and XP

I am interested in mounting the same drive on Linux (GutsyG) WinXP and OS X(10.4). The only file system I can do this is Fat32 (vfat) but this has a file size limitation for large HD video files. Is there maybe another File system? I did a little research and could not come up with an alternative to Fat32 except only if I use a samba, but I dual boot my PC and then I am back to share between WinXP and OS X with vfat.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

With a bit of modification, ext3 should work.

Linux obviously has native ext3 support, and this should be already enabled in Gutsy.

As for Mac OS X, here is a guide:
Mounting EXT2 Linux filesystems on Mac OS X | B. Mann Consulting

    Finally, for Windows:
    Ext2 IFS For Windows

Even though these both refer to ext2, ext3 is actually identical to ext2, except that it includes journalling. Therefore, any ext3 partition can be read as though it was ext2.

Let us know if this works.
