Date command but I suggest installing ntp so that will sync your date with a time server.

I agree with the NTP decision. See http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/ for more info. It requires constant internet connection, though. (OK, then, it doesn't require it, but it's easiest to configure it if you have that)
