I have a promise raid card and a 4 bay sata enclosure, and i swap the drives out a lot of data recovery, I was curious if there was a command to detect new drives, instead of having to reboot the box every time to detect new drives, i don't need to mount them most of the time. Mainly I runn ddrescue on them, will be really thankful if someone can help out as it would save me a lot of time.
