    Disappear of symbolic link


    I make this link:
    $sudo ln -s /opt/lampp/var/mysql/mysql.sock /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

    at reboot it disappears!How can i do to avoid to edit it every time?

    Hey,

    What is the path given in basedir under your my.cnf? Just check and give the exact path and restart your mysql service.
