Installing Windows after Linux
Well I Installed the Fedora 8 OS and was very happy about it.But My "Windows" crashed with virus.I decided to re-install windows. But the windows default bootloader seems to have overwritten my Linux GRUB.So I can boot only to Windows.I know my Fedora is still there cause when I tried to Re-install it it says A newer version of Kernel has been detected. No update necessary.
Is there anyway I can getback My Fedora without loosing any data? How to avoid this in Future If I have to re-install Windows?

Hi and Welcome !
Boot up in Rescue Mode through Fedora Installation CD/DVD. It will drop you at shell prompt.
Execute this
Machine will reboot and GRUB Menu will appear again.Code:chroot /mnt/sysimage grub-install /dev/sda exit exit
There is no way to keep GRUB intact. You have to re-install after every Windows Re-install or fixing. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
