Hey ppl i am new to this LINUX world and wish to persuade Certification provided by giant linux vendors like Redhat and Novell, the thing is i need to practise well to get these certification can u ppl suggest which is the best RPM based distro. And can a person install RedHat linux and work with it? Will REDHAT sue him for using it without authorization? Please get me your suggestions.

If you want to use Red Hat and not pay for it, go with CentOS. It's Red Hat with all the logos stripped out, and no paid support:

I am also new to it, and preparing for teh certification from one the institute. and they provide me matirial with cd of redhat 5.

already considering certifacation? with no linux exp. whatsoever?????
you should have about 6 mo. exp. w/ linux before the test (that's what they recomend)
people do it faster or slower but as a genral rule, at least have a few months
