GRUB loads but sometimes stage 1.5 read error
I installed GRUB onto a Compact Flash card. My computer is capable of booting off of USB devices or SATA devices. When I have the CF card in a USB reader, my computer can boot off of it just fine. However, I installed it internally using a SATA CF reader, and GRUB fails with a "Grub Loading stage 1.5Read error".
Does anyone know why it could possibly be that GRUB is capable of partially loading itself, at least far enough to give me a GRUB specific boot error, but then it is dying with a read error? Anyone know how I can fix it?

Hi and Welcome !
When you plug in Card in SATA CF Reader, BIOS assign it different device name and GRUB fails to find necessary file. You should re-install GRUB using SuperGRUB CD.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
