    suse 10.2

I am having difficulty adding repository such as Index of /pub/packman/suse/10.2
http://packman.links2linux.org/suse/10.2 each time it would reply cannot connect to host. I have inserted the dvd before clicking the installation source. I have tried using the software installer, yast to install mplayer,mplayerplugins,w32codec-all but it would reply failed install. I have used the konsole terminal program and entered "su" then root password followed by rug set-prefs security-level checksum and the message came back as security-level changed from signature to checksum. I have downloaded the libdvdcss2-1.2.9-1.i386 rpm and saved it on desktop before all of this. I haven't adjusted the firewall since installation. Can someone help me with this?

That link doesn't appear to exist. Look on the openSUSE site here and follow the instructions for adding repositories.

Check additional ( third party ) Yast Repositories here. Read instructions carefully.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I used to have SUSE 10.0 as well as 10.3. Repositories are much easier to use in 10.3. I found problems adding repositories in 10.0 as the instructions are written for 10.3 ... see linked post which might help ... http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/sus...tml#post531480
