    countdown timer

I am looking for a countdown timer for Ubuntu and have been surprised to not find very many. What I need is one that I can have multiple timers counting down to different days. I'm hoping to find one that doesn't restart on system restart, that I start with the system and that doesn't use very many system resources. If there isn't one....I am thinking it wouldn't be very hard to write a simple script to at least get one in a terminal.....I'm not sure though. Thanks all

    This is WAY easy.
If you arnt a Scripter (or cant be bothed to make your own script)
Id advice gDesklets with MySpace Countdown (google for MySpace Countdown)
The Count Down you'll find is a Flash thingy.
And with gDesklets you can implent that into your Desktop..

Hope you have fun with it
