Hi there.
Go to www.divx.com and download the divx codec for linux.
Then run a program to play the movie, like MPlayer or Xine
*edit* If you need help on install ask here again. But on the websites there are instructions how to do it.

you should also go to sourceforge.net and search for divx4linux...
