Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 - Compiz installation failed
Compiz-Fusion On Ubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy Gibbin” : Ubuntu Tutorials : Dapper - Edgy - Feisty - Gutsy
i followed step by step how to configure Compiz in Ubuntu 7.10. the instruction seems easy, but when i install it, there are some errors. "Couldn't find any package whose name or description matched "compizconfig-setting-manager"
what should i do to rectify this problem. thanks in advancentxploits@g301b:~$ sudo aptitude install compizconfig-setting-manager

Finally I manage to figure out why I cannot do any installation. It’s because I didn’t update the /etc/apt/sources.list file.
Ubuntu - Linux for Human Beings - sources.list generator
after that, I manage to install any package that I want. Just update it and then install.
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install compizconfig-setting-manager
