    How do I install vlc media player in Fedora 7?

    Hello,

    I have a Pentium 3 - HP OmniBook XE3 i686 machine. I tried, but was unable to connect to Internet through Linux. I Recently downloaded vlc media player for Fedora 7, I tried to install it, but it is displaying some messages about dependencies.

    Please help me regarding this issue.

    If you do not have an internet connection, then I am afraid it will be difficult for you to install VLC manually because it has a lot of dependencies. You could look for a distribution like Linux Mint, Mandriva and Startcom Multimedia (this is quite similar to Fedora) that ship with most multimedia stuff enabled.

    It's much easier if you can figure out a way to connect to the internet, and just use repositories.

    Why don't you make sure your network card/modem drivers are installed correctly?
