Ubuntu LiveCD
I just recently downloaded Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) from Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) i downloaded "PC (Intel x86) desktop CD" and i saved it to a jump drive. do i have to write it to a CD and if not how do i open it

Thanks ozar.
I burn Ubuntu to a disk as an image, and it booted up when i restarted my computer from the CD. I highlighted "start" on the 1st window that came up (is it called the boot page?) and waited for about 5 or 10 min. and it never did anything... does anyone know whats going on?

If the download was not corrupted and the burn to CD was good, it might be a hardware issue of some type. Do you have another computer that you can test the CD on to see if it boots?
If it does, you might have to experiment with some of the kernel boot options that are available to you through the F-keys right before the CD begins to boot.
