    Question Ubuntu, RAID-0, Dual Boot.

This may get complex. I want to migrate from XP to Ubuntu. However, I want a partition with XP or 2000 for gaming (small maybe 45gb). I want them both on RAID-0. The other variable is that my dvd burner is a SATA drive, the reason I include this is because having some problems when I was a bit more of a newb, I called the ASUS help line, on my MoBo P5B-E, the tech support had no idea how I possibly had RAID-0 on two SATA HDDs and a SATA DVD Drive not effected by the RAID. Hows that for a run on sentance?

My other question is I have an onboard sound card, that uses SoundMax in XP (I cant have sound in service pack 1), will I get sound in Linux, specifically Ubuntu. If I can't get sound in Linux, there is no reason for me to go there and I will have to stay with windows.

I also wonder if I would be able to exchage data between partitions? And how about my Logitech USB headset?

I know I'm asking for a lot of info...

You can set up a duel boot by setting up Windows first. Allocate what you think you will need for Windows and games. Leave the reset of the drive unallocated for Linux. I'm not sure about the duel boot using raid. But give it a try. I would like to know if it will work with the raid myself. I work with raid all the time just never tried a duel boot.

Your sound card should work in linux with no problem.
As far as exchanging date between partitions I will say no, but not impossible.
