    Question source code of linux kernel

    Hello frnds

    As I am searching for source code of my installed fedora 7

    can anyone tell where in the directory structure of my filesystem the source code will be

    located ( the .c and .h files)

    or should I download the source code from google or provide any other links so that I

    can get the source code

    The sources for the linux kernel are at its home page:
    The Linux Kernel Archives

    Sources for specific applications are on the home page of every application. Probably, your package manager has links to the page or every application.

    It all depends on the concrete distribution that you are using. For example, Gentoo centralizes most downloads from its own repositories because it is a source distro, but binary distros usually don't do that.

    You can install the kernel-devel package that matches your current kernel using yum. You can download the actual source code used to build the Fedora kernel from here.
