    Changing screen resolution

I am running OpenSuse10.3 on a couple of computers.
I can't see how to alter the screen resolution and monitor refresh rate etc.
I am new to linux but have done the above many times in the various Windows ops
I would appreciate any help on this. It is taking me a while to get to grips with Linux but am starting to really like it

There may be a gui way to do this; however, it is very simple just to do a quick edit in your xorg.conf and restart x.

Look up on editing resolutions, display settings in your xorg.conf, or you can just open it up and play around. If your xserver does not start, you can always change xorg.conf back in the console.
    Operating System: GNU Emacs

Highlight SuSe title in GRUB Menu and press 3. Hit Enter key. SuSe will boot up in command line mode and drop you at Login Prompt.
Login as Regular User and execute this
    Code:
    su -
    sax2
    exit
    startx
    shutdown -r now
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
