    hi,
    i ve a laptop and a comp with fc4 installed.i want to set up lan connection between these two.i ve physically connected them using a cross cable.can anyone tell me the configurations or settings to be done using "internet connection wizard" to set up a lan beween the two machines?its urgent.plz reply...

    Hi Janani,

    You need to use system-config-network. You can view the system-config-network documentation with:

    Code:
    #firefox /usr/share/system-config-network/help/index.html
    (the above assumes that the firefox browser is installed, which it might well not be in FC4, you can use any browser though)

    You'll need a private IP Address for each machine (192.168.x.x is a good choice).

    I have found a great description about setting up Lan and internet connection. It was discussed
    very easily. And it was also working. i did the same thing,If you are facing the similar
    problem i think you can solve this.
