You are trying for .iso files which are image files. So you must extract them onto a cd, and then boot the computer from that cd (making sure that the cd is set as the first boot device in the BIOS). After you will able to install it.

Do not extract .iso file. Burn it as image only. There are a lot of free Image Burner programs available over net. Just select Burn Image to Disk option.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Don't burn it as a data file. If you have NERO, it will give you the option to burn image. That is what you want to do and burn it slow so as to get a good copy. With whatever burning program you use, you must burn the ISO as an image, and not as data. Otherwise it won't be executable.

You boot from the first CD (CD1).

Check this HowTo for making sure you properly download, burn, and boot the CD:

You're not following the directions Casper gave you. Do not mount the ISO file in any wacky programs. Simply use a burning program such as Nero to burn the ISO file to a disk as an image. In Nero you simply open the program, cancel out of the wizard window that starts up, and click on the Open icon in the upper left. Choose your ISO and burn it.
