    VNC Nooblet

    i'v been trying to get vnc up and running on my xubuntu box. i have looked at various guides online and in forums and most don't work or i get confused Can somebody post or direct me to a site were i can show me how to do this?

    Are you trying to set this machine up as a vncserver? Or is it that you want to vnc into another machine from this one?

    Yes, im trying to set up my Xubuntu Linux box as vncserver so i can access it with my windows box.

    Have you already installed vncserver or tightvnc? Both should be available via synaptic/apt-get...
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install vncserver
    or:

    :S I need to solve one problem at a time, for some reason i can't connect to the Ubuntu repository archive. my internet works fine and everything but with xubuntu i can't do anything involving the archives. example: installation, updates and synaptic. Thanks for the help anyways.
