    Installing latest java version

    Ok... i went to the Java website and downloaded... Now how to i install it? The website gives instructions but i don't understand. It says to type different things in the "terminal." I don't know what a terminal is or how to access the terminal. Help please!

    There are two types of files which can be used to install java on Linux, so which file did you download? Distro is short for Linux Distribution (the version of Linux you are running).
