    I need a Linux and Shell/Perl guru

    I am pretty computer literate but completely new to the world of Linux/Shell/Perl. I have to pick up the basics of this for some good old fashioned career advancement. I will dwell in the online tutorials for the next couple of days and weeks (and for as long as it takes) to get a grip on this ability.

    I would like a mentor whom I can meet in person on the West Side of L.A. (at their home or work and take for me a test drive on a Red Hat Linux machine) Ideally, the Linux guru will help demystify the process, read my requirements and fast track me onto the tutorials I truly need.
