    [SOLVED] what is linux ppc?

    I am having some problems with installing blender the 3D modeling application. So i was wondering if I had downloaded the correct version of blender. On the download site there is a version called "linux ppc" . what is linux ppc?

    PPC means Power PC which is the architecture used in old macs before they switched to Intel. Other hardware (mainly from IBM and Motorola) uses the PPC architecture.
