Lost channels
Hi, i have a sagem d-box 2 multimedia terminal dv3 on virgin cable and have just lost all the channels apart from bbc1,itv etc.Is there anything i can do to get these channels back or is the box now useless.I hear that other people are having the same problem so i presume its something to do with virgin.Can somebody please help.Cheers

I know the D-Boxs run Linux, but the error is application specific and is really an issue for your local guys as it will depend on your local/national broadcasting. My understanding from what I've overheard is that you will need to reflash your D-Box with the latest firmware, there is already a fix for this.
Also if it's of any interest to you I believe the same has happened with NTL in Ireland in the last 24 hours.

I believe what BigTom was referring to is, you may want to call your cable television provider. Your box does, indeed, run an embedded Linux OS. But as it is, basically, nothing more than a Digital Converter, your provider will be of the best assistance to you.
