Hi brant and welcome to the forums!
I'm a little confused about your question. Could you explain a little more exactly what it is you are wanting to know? Remember, there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers.

Hi, brant!
I must admit, I think I'm a little confused about what you are asking. Are you asking what Distobutions of Linux include GCC? Or Gnome?
Can you maybe re-phrase the question?Jay

Almost all Linux distributions have GCC and/or Gnome. You might want to start with a popular one like Ubuntu:
Ubuntu Home Page | Ubuntu
It comes with GNOME. Then install "build-essential" to get GCC.Registered Linux user #270181
