Okay, I successfully installed Suse 10.2. When I try to access the internet, I cannot. I try to edit all of the settings IE: Custom IP, DHCP Etc...

I then tried to access my router (192.168.1.1) and I could. What could I be doing wrong?

    Hi, danerd100! Welcome to LinuxForums!

Are you able to get to the internet if you surf by IP address (i.e. put 72.14.207.99 in the address bar... see if you get to Google). If so, then you'll either want to assign DNS servers to your router, or edit your dhcpd.conf file.

Check if your default is set to 192.168.1.1. There are lots of network utilities available to check / diagnose network connectivity.

route, mtr(combination of ping and traceroute), nc etc. Have you configured firewall on your box ? See if you can find something in logs.
