    Experimenting problems with XFCE

I used to have debian 4.0 on my laptop with xfce everything was going right, i made and upgrade to my distro and there is when my problems appear.
My desktop is working fine, but when i want to use the xfce menu, no icons appear, not even on the auxiliar menu, i can only see the names of the icons but not the icons.

I know this is not big deal but sometimes is really frustrating to work this way!!

I am not a Xfce user but it looks like default Icons have been messed up. Have you tried to use different Icon set? Install new Icons through Package Manager.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I had something similar happen to me with KDE, when I accidentally selected a GNOME vector icon theme while playing with the Icon settings. I'm not familiar with how XFCE icon sets work, but perhaps something similar happened? Try changing the icon theme.
