    hello,
    I have linux serv on lan.I have hosted a site i want my visitor can on my lan can browse it by the name,my machine name is linuxser,

    instead of server ip or localhost. plz help how can i do it.
    i set host name in apache configuration to linuxserver.

    They can add an alias to your server in their /etc/hosts file so your server name will resolve to that ip. Or you can run bind for internel dns and have them use that dns server.
