    Any distro that supports hibernate?

    Hi,

I recently converted from Windows to Linux and installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron.
However after days and weeks of trying I still cannot get the "hibernate" or "suspend" features to work.
I have tried installing uswsusp and using "s2disk" and "s2ram" but with no success.
More details here if that helps: Problems with hibernte / standby - Ubuntu Forums
I have a Nvidia 8600 XTS graphics card and an ASUS P5N32-E SLI mainboard.

Does anyone know any distribution where "hibernate" "suspend" or "uswsusp" will work with this combination of hardware?
Are there any distros that have a reputation for having particularly good support for these features.

Thanks very much for any replies.
    Jim

Have you tried openSUSE? It has very good support for laptops, but obviously suspend and hibernates support depend on the hardware as well.

Yeah, I was thinking in the direction of Suse (am actually reading a book about Suse as we speak). I'm not sure if I should wait until version 11 is released.
Are there any Suse users out there who have got suspend and hibernate working on their desktop PCs?
