Can't install syslinux to usb pen

    Hi.

I've been trying to set my usb pen up as a bootable pen using syslinux.exe (from XP). I've been up and down the web, most sources telling me to use the command prompt, by typing syslinux.exe -ma [drive]:

I've done this, but nothing transfers to the drive. I have my viewing options set to show hidden files, so I know there's definitely nothing there. Only the very old versions of syslinux (2.11 or older) copy over to the usb pen, but the -ma parameters don't appear to work with older versions. Therefore, when I boot up from the usb pen, I get the message "Boot failed".

Does anyone know why I can't get syslinux to copy over?

    Many thanks in advance.
