Most programs in Linux don't automatically create desktop shortcuts, so you may have to create the desktop shortcut yourself. What type of package did you use to install Seamonkey?

Right-click on the desktop to see if it gives you the option to add a launcher (icon).

It was a tar.gz which I saved to my home folder. I then went into yast and extracted it. I now have a Seamonkey folder with the files in it but no icons anywhere. And of course my Mozilla browser does not work now that Seamonkey has replaced it.

You can run it directly from within your /home folder if that's what you want to do.
If you right-click the desktop you'll probably get an option to add an application launcher. You can navigate to the seamonkey folder to find the executable file to start the app, and the icons you need for your launcher should be in that folder as well.oz

If you don't want the hassle of setting up Seamonkey yourself, then use the openSUSE packages. Go to YAST -> Software -> Software Management -> Community Repositories and add the Mozilla repository. You can then go to YAST -> Software -> Software Management and search for seamonkey and choose it for installation.

Daark.child, the search for Seamonkey came up empty
After groping around the Seamonkey file I found an icon that would start it up and put a link to it on my desktop. I might be missing some Mozilla files because I do not update.
Thank You, Gentlemen for your kind assistance!Linux registered user # 414321
