    Dell XPS and fingerprint scanner

    We have a Dell XPS laptop that I'm about to wipe vista off of and install Ultimate Edition - Harty Hotrod (ubuntu 8.04). Was wondering if there are any programs that will allow use of the fingerprint scanner? I like being able to walk up and swipe my finger, without having to type any passwords etc.

    BTW, I'm only 3 days old in linux, so any advanced stuff will need to be converted to Noob language
