Copying Open Office files to Linux computer

I have all my Open Office files from my Windows XP computer saved on a Seagate 'Free Agent Go' USB drive. Can I copy those Open Office files to a Linux computer? (I intend to buy the EeePC 901 when it is released shortly)

    Thanks,

    Stuartp77

Eeepc rocks!! I have 701 but i will buy eeepc 1000 next month. Check the eeepc 1000 as well. NOT 1000H, it has WinXP Home...
Most if not all usb hard disks work perfectly in Linux. Just to be sure though, boot your computer with a live-cd (Ubuntu, for example) and when you get into the desktop plug the usb drive. If it works in Ubuntu, it will work for eeepc as well(EEEPC uses xandros, which is based on Debian-like Ubuntu).

I never encountered any problems with external drives. They are just filesystems on a stick. If you feel you must be absolutely 100% sure, then trying it out using a LiveCD, as kostasan suggests, is very solid advice.

Thanks, kostasan & Freston for your quick advice - I'll certainly try it.
