    what i need form linux

    hi Ive installed Debian a hand full of times and i need help with something.

    im looking for a distro which is easy to install and use but i can easily install compix fusion, i have a nvidia 88GTS graphics card so i will need to install the nvidia drivers for 3d acceleration.

    i am also looking for something i can customize my boot splash and log in screens

    Ubuntu is the most popular new-user distro these days. It's very easy to install and configure, and it's built on top of Debian, so it has access to Debian's huge selection of packages.

    Once you install your NVIDIA driver, you will be able to easily install Compiz Fusion. Instructions are available on the Ubuntu wiki.

    So give it a shot: you might find it a lot easier.

    If you looking for something pre-made try
    Eyecandy for your GNOME-Desktop - GNOME-Look.org for gnome

    Eyecandy for your KDE-Desktop - KDE-Look.org for kde

    If you want to make something yourself, then I'm not sure
