    [SOLVED] ubuntu security updates ?

    Is there a command to get ONLY security updates in ubuntu 710 ? I don't want the 365 updates it shows, I only want security. for some reason in those 365 updates, there is something that nukes my desktop and takes away the task bar, so I don't want that again. thanks.

    If you update via the update manager in the GUI, you can de-select individual updates.

    Why don't you use Synaptic Package Manager? After clicking on Reload button, click on Origin Button at Left side pane. Select Security sources only.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
