linux on virtual PC disc space problem

    Hi everyone

i am kinda new to linux. i am still learning many things. i have installed both suse 10.3 and mandrake 9.2(needed that version to run a specific program) to virtual pc 2007. But i have same problems in both linuxes. Although i've deleted files permanentlyi the used disk space doesnt change. every time i install and remove installers or applications, the free disc space gets lower and lower. now i cannot install any program because of lack of space although i have 10G virtual disc and nothing installed but operating system. How can i free the used disk space that isnt used actually? i search for it bu cannot find any tip. please help

This is a Virtual PC question. You will need to look to MSFT docs/forums for assistance.

You can Google for something like "shrink disk virtual pc."
