    Question Live CD Boot Problem

Hello All, I have minimal knowledge in Linux, but I've never even heard of this. I've gotten a new computer recently and am attempting to put Kubuntu on it, but there's a problem. It will load up, and I select boot live CD, but after it loads and runs a small amount of code, it blanks out and I get a message saying that it exceeds my screen limit. I've never used this moniter with Linux, but it shows up in the same format as other messages on the moniter, so I think it might be a problem with it. It's an older IBM flat screen, but I don't have a specific model displayed. Can anyone help me?

    Hi and Welcome !

Which version of Kubuntu are you using? Which Graphics Card do you have?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I'm not sure about the graphics card, I'm thinking it's integrated with a P4 compatible motherboard, likely an Intel as well (this was used store-bought).
I'm using 8.04 I believe, my first experience with this update, though I've used 7.10 on regular Ubuntu.

Have you tried Safe Graphics Mode? This option is available at startup Menu under Modes.

It worked there, but I'm hesistant to install incase it doesn't work afterwards. Also, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be this way, but the wireless internet wasn't working in the live cd. That's ok, just to comfort me, right? Thanks for past and hopefully future help,
