    Give permission to execute
    chmod +x amsn-0.97.1-1.tcl85.x86.package
execute the script in terminal by typing
    ./amsn-0.97.1-1.tcl85.x86.package
    follow through installation process
    Never make any misteaks.

Did it throw any error message? Execute amsn command in Terminal/Konsole.
    Execute this
    Code:
    cat /etc/*release*
    cat /etc/*version*
    Post output here.

It simply comes up with this when I click on the application in the user section:
    #!/bin/bash
    # autopackage 1.2.5
    # RootName @amsn-project.net/amsn:0.97.1
    # ShortName amsn
    # SoftwareVersion 0.97.1
    # InterfaceVersion 0.0
    # PackageVersion 1
    # CPUArchitecture x86
    # gecko mimetype hack:
    # DisplayName en AMSN MSN client
    # Summary en AMSN is a multiplatform MSN client

    # Do not attempt to parse any information below this line
    # programmatically. The only supported interfaces this file exports
    # are the comments above (which may be in any order) and the command
    # line switches.

    # This is an autopackage (Autopackage : Easy Linux Software Installation)
    # Copyright 2002-2005 Mike Hearn, Hongli Lai, and Curtis L Knight

----- From there it's just various symbols. I a still slightly confused about the terminal bit and where I input the code...thank you for the help
