    setting up dial-up connections in fedora; help

    i recently installed fedora 9 onto my laptop, AMD64. unfortunately, i have never used fedora before therefore creating various problems for me. currently i am trying to connect to my dial-up connection. windows wise i was pretty experienced, but am pretty lost in fedora. any help that you can offer would be really great.

    I don't know if there's any centralized tool to configure that in Fedora, but a couple of dialers are wvdial (command line) and kppp (graphical). They are pretty straightforward to configure for most modems. Try them and see if any of these suits you.

    There are also gnome based dialers if you don't like kde programs like kppp, but right now I don't remember the name of the gnome ones.
