    Video Problem

Okay... so I messed up my graphics card settings. I browsed, from a different computer, to find a fix and it recommended the following:

    Log in a root
    Type init 3
    Type sax2 -r -m 0=vesa

This got me back up to a single monitor working. However, I used to have two. Laptop and monitor plugged into laptop.

Now I can only have one or the other.

Please help me understand how to get back to having both.

    Thanks.

    Mark

what kind of video card do you have? If you have nvidia do the following:

    sudo apt-get install nvidia-settings

after this installs, in terminal type "sudo nvidia-settings"

that's an easy to use GUI for changing things like the monitors being used.

It looks like you are using OpenSUSE. Which version of OpenSUSE do you have?
Which Graphics Card do you have?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
