Anyone know how to get video players to work? I have no video, only sound.

I know this is a common problem but I've googled and the solutions I found did not help me.

MPlayer doesn't work. I only have sound. VLC also doesn't work. I only have sound.

I have an Nvidia graphics card and the Nvidia driver installed.

How did you install Nvidia Driver? Execute this
    Code:
    grep -i driver /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    Post output here.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Output:
    Driver "kbd"
    Driver "nvidia"
I rebooted and VLC is now working.... sort of.... This is in Fedora 9. When I run an avi file from a DVD in VLC, there is tearing. Any ideas on how to fix this or trouble shoot it?
