hi. i'm new on ubuntu. i tried to install amsn with your advance. but when i write this it says:
dpkg : error processing /home/myname/downloads/amsn.deb
cannot access archive: no such ...

hi. i'm new on ubuntu. i tried to install amsn with your advance. but when i write this it says:

and like this... i installed amsn 0.97.2 , plugins ,skins...but i can't do this. please help me
what can i do for install amsn and the others.

You're following the directions much too literally. You're supposed to replace "myname" with your username on your system. All users in Linux have a special area in the /home/ directory under their name. If your username is lfmdt for instance, your home directory would be:
Substitute that in the command you tried and see what happens.Code:/home/lfmdt/
