mkdir help

hi friends

i had installed red hat linux 5 on my system . I was trying to install
oracle 10g yesterday . I started terminal . I think i had logged from root shell.
and given following command


mkdiir -p u01/app/oracle ; but it shows me error permission denied .

plz help i am very newbee to linux , help very appricited .

I think i had logged from root shell.

hi sushil,

why don't you make sure you've logged in as root.
Because that seems the most likely cause for your problem to me.
