    Exclamation Dell optiplex help

    I have a dell optiplex sx260 and i cant get linux to work. So far ive tried Mandriva and Pclinuxos. The first went to a blank screen and froze and the other always went to a cli. I know the computer works with windows.

    PCLinuxOS is based on Mandriva so if one does not work, than both won't.
    Try Ubuntu. Since Dell is selling machines with Ubuntu preinstalled, there is a very big chance that Ubuntu has the correct drivers.

    As kostasan says, try some other distros.

    If you should continue to have problems, post your system specs along with any error messages.
