PCLinuxOS is based on Mandriva so if one does not work, than both won't.
Try Ubuntu. Since Dell is selling machines with Ubuntu preinstalled, there is a very big chance that Ubuntu has the correct drivers. In a world without walls and fences, who needs windows and gates?
