Ok, I'm not sure exactly how to explain this, but I was advised by jayotis at http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/ins...ithout-cd.html.

I had reinstalled Vector linux and repartitioned my HD, however, the installer only gave me a few options to link a 3rd empty partion that I wanted. So after I finished installing, the directory that I had selected happened to be a necessary directory and when I mount an iso file to that directory, the files always get deleted.

So is there any way to change this default directory to another partition, which would be hda4, and move hda3 to an entirely different directory so I could be able to have an empty partition?

Thanks...

<EDIT>

Also, I was trying to install Zenwalk before I found out about that problem, and I didn't see anything that would boot in the main directory, but I did see something in another directory, I think it was called, isolinux.bin with another file called isolinux.boot or something like that. Would I then need to point Lilo to that directory or will Lilo automatically know that hda3 is bootable? (The bootflag is already set on the partition)...
